  1. A week in Ukraine and a new Kiva loan

As regular readers will know by now, each time we work on an overseas job we provide a small Kiva loan to a local entrepreneur. I have a little dream that one day I will search the database of small businesses to support and find someone we happen to have met. It won’t surprise me – we all know what a small world it can be!

This week we have been working in Ukraine with World Jewish Relief making two films – one for a fundraising event and an impact film. We’ve spent this week visiting a whole host of entrepreneurs who have received livelihoods training from World Jewish Relief, and what an inspiring bunch they were. And what a visual treat! From sweet factories to forests, to beaches in photography studios, to steel factories, Ben’s been in his element. There’s been a few early morning training runs too, taking in the hazy morning light and deserted funfairs.

Below are a few ‘behind the scenes’ snaps of our visit – shot on my iPhone as we went.  And we’re pleased to introduce this week’s loan goes to Yuliya who is in the process of setting up a flower business.
