Photos, films & words

We have led more than 40 story gathering trips to challenging international environments and interviewed countless vulnerable people in the UK. We know how to get the best out of people and deliver inspiring stories no matter how challenging the situation. We’ve interviewed and  photographed former child soldiers and victims of rape, the seriously ill and their carers, the overworked and underpaid. We are not afraid of the difficult situations, but we approach them with empathy.

With backgrounds in fundraising and communications, we know a good story can make or break a campaign. We also know that no story is important enough to justify damaging hard won trust with a community, undermining an individual’s self-esteem or compromising the integrity of your staff or partners. If you work with us you can be 100% confident that we will leave your teams and partners feeling positive and invigorated by the experience.

Your team becomes part of our team and it shows in the results we get. Whether we’re working in the UK or overseas your frontline staff will receive mentoring to help them understand what makes a good story and we advise them on planning our visits. We take the headache out of the detail – flights, trains, film permits and visas are all down to us. As a result we spend more time capturing inspiring words, photos and film and less time in policy briefings and meetings with officials.

On a job we work quickly and efficiently, but we also know the importance of building rapport over a cup of tea, how we will be perceived based on what we are wearing and that paying our respects to the village chief is never a waste of five minutes. Knowing when to take the time is balanced with a highly tuned filter for nonsense – we’re never rude but we will say no!
