  1. RCOG in Uganda

A busy stair well in Mulago hospital.

Much is written about the number of babies born at Mulago National Referral Hospital โ€“ around 30,000 a year which averages between 80 and 85 every day.

The pressure this puts on the hospital, which has bed capacity for fewer than half this number, is intensive. Yet much of this pressure could be eased if the capacity of smaller hospitals and health centres was developed.
