UK Youth Film
“We were in the midst of planning UK Youth’s major Gala Dinner fundraiser and decided that we needed a new film created to bring to life the need and impact of UK Youth’s work to the audience.
“With less than three weeks to create the brief, shoot, produce and edit the film we needed to work with a company who could really deliver. Our CEO came across Catherine on twitter, spoke to her that night and was immediately impressed, I then met with Catherine to discuss our requirements and knew that Mile 91 were the company to work with.
“Catherine immediately helped us to understand what would be most effective and was realistic to achieve within a limited timeline. She took the time to speak to the young people and youth workers featured in the film prior to them being filmed so they were fully prepared and felt comfortable in front of the camera. When the actual filming took place she asked carefully worded questions to bring out everyone’s stories without being intrusive. The Mile 91 camera crew accompanied us to a workshop being run for 100 young people and overcame challenges of a very crowded room and packed schedule to do individual interviews with the participants.
“We were seriously delighted with the final result. UK Youth have had promotional films made before, but this is the one of the first that actually captures the stories of how our work transforms the lives of young people, youth workers and youth clubs.
“The feedback we received from our long-term supporters was incredibly positive; “I have tears in my eyes- what a wonderful film about the work UK Youth does and it is very inspiring”. We chose to officially unveil the film prior to the auction at the Gala Dinner, the reaction was fantastic and we raised £120,000 to support UK Youth’s work with young people that night.
“Mile 91 were a wonderful and friendly company to work with and I would certainly recommend them to other charities looking to share their stories of change.”
