Carers’ Centre: portfolio of films
In 2019 the Carers’ Centre in Bath and North East Somerset was awarded a grant from Comic Relief to produce a portfolio of films to help them raise awareness, increase referrals, drive fundraising and encourage volunteer applications. We were named in the proposal as the creative partner and went on to produce nine films profiling carers of all ages.
This was the first time they had been able to invest in a package of professionally produced films – until they received this funding their main form of storytelling had been words and images. The Carers’ Centre improves the lives of unpaid carers by offering free activities, advice and support for carers. Their ambition for this package of films was that by hearing the voices other carers people who are not currently receiving support will recognise themselves and think ‘that’s me, I can get support’.
