Whether you are looking for an in-depth skill development programme or a fast-paced session for a conference, our storytelling training consistently receives outstanding feedback. During lockdown and social distancing measures we have moved all our training and workshops to a virtual model which has enabled us to train people as far away as Australia.
Our courses have been remodeled to work virtually while still being fun learning experiences, which means they typically run over a number of days in small segments rather than providing an intense ‘death by Zoom’ experience. Our two-day storytelling masterclass now runs over a full week in daily sessions of between 90 minutes and two hours with a variety of group learning and plenary sessions, breakout room group working and self-guided offline exercises. All courses comes with a follow-up mentoring sessions and a copy of our story gathering handbook.
The masterclass It covers the science of storytelling, story structure, responsibilities of story gatherers and the principles of ethical story gathering, techniques for planning and research and skills for interviewing and writing. Any component of our storytelling masterclass can be delivered as a standalone session and is also the options to add on our smartphone filmmaking course as an additional module.
During 2020 we have run virtual workshops for Hft, Clore Social Leadership, European Multiple Sclerosis Platform, Wiltshire Sight, the Wellcome Centres and the National Coordinating Centre for Public Engagement and also spoken at Lucidity Network and CharityComms events. When the time comes that we can be together again we will restart our in person training but we will also continue to offer the more flexible online options.
