We have supported large and complex national and international charities to establish their own story gathering systems and processes, undertaking audits and consultations and advising on everything from how to build support for story gathering within services teams through to how to manage the use of stories and safeguard storytellers.

  Our story audits follow a process of stakeholder engagement, internal consultation and desk review. We assess whether systems and processes support or prevent effective story gathering and we deliver a practical set of recommendations for activities that will help you scale up and strengthen your story gathering activities.

• Workshops

  

  Whether you are looking for an in-depth skill development session for small groups, a fast-paced session for a staff away-day or need support to navigate internal relationships and planning, we will facilitate a memorable story workshop. We also deliver presentations and plenary sessions at conferences and events.

• Toolkits

  

  We help organisations to increase the flow of stories from the frontline by producing toolkits for programme staff and partners. Our handbooks are packed with practical advice on planning story gathering activities, conducting interviews and capturing powerful photographs and include template consent forms and stories.

• The Story Network

  

  We host the Story Network, a free quarterly meeting where charity story gatherers meet with peers across the sector. These meetings offer a ‘circle of trust’ space in which to share insight and participate in open and honest discussions about experiences, challenges and best practice.
